New Year's Day Restorative Retreat January 1 2026
Want to set the tone for the year? Give yourself a day of yoga, meditation, Yoga Nidra, sauna, cold plunge, and rest to start 2026 as your best self.
Our yoga together will focus on strength, stretching, and restorative poses with breathing and meditation practices interwoven throughout.
A cycle of heat, cold, and rest will further relax our bodies and minds. We will warm our bodies and spirits in the sauna. Sauna heat can boost heart health and help maintain a healthy blood pressure, release toxins, and relax our muscles.
Dare to cold plunge in the pool or with a ladle. Cold plunge can decrease inflammation facilitating a fortified immune system, balance hormone levels, improve sleep, and elevate the good mood feeling.
Swaying in hammocks or sitting by the fire as part of the cycle gives time to integrate and assimilate the heat, cold, yoga, and meditation.
We will practice Yoga Nidra, a relaxing meditation that can restore the layers of our physical, energetic, emotional, mental, intuitive, and bliss selves. Studies show that this type of meditation reduces stress by inducing the relaxation response where regeneration, healing, digestion, and integration can happen, balances the autonomic nervous system, balances and strengthens the endocrine system.
We will share a meal of soup and Hootenanny bread and finish with a closing circle.
